The metal gates allowing the parking lots for Falmouth’s public beaches were deteriorating and the Beach Department requested funds from the CPFund to replace them. The Town locked the gates at night to keep the parking lots clear of litter and trash from nighttime beach parties. Town Meeting appropriated funds in 2013 and 2015 to cover the cost of replacement of the parking lot gates at Menauhant Beach, Bristol Beach, and Surf Drive Beach.
