Community Housing Projects in Falmouth
The CP Fund has contributed a total of $15.6 million to Community Housing since 2005.
These projects contribute to the creation of new affordable single-family homes and rental apartments for Falmouth’s working families and individuals as well as for elderly and disable residents. The $15.6 million contributed to Community Housing includes a contribution of almost $2 million to the Town’s Affordable Housing Retention & Development Funds from 2005-2012 and over $10.4 million to the Falmouth Affordable Housing Fund (FAHF) from 2012-2023. Members of the Select Board serve as the FAHF Trustees and have appropriated over $10.7 million toward various Community Housing projects. The CP Fund directly contributed $3.3 million to specific Community Housing projects including the Habitat for Humanity Willett Way project, Falmouth Housing Authority programs to preserve existing affordable, rental family housing, housing search and limited financial assistance for hard-to-house local residents, among others.
