The Falmouth Conservation Commission and The 300 Committee (T3C) collaborated on the permanent protection of the 9.3-acre Florence Sylvia Woodland with T3C purchasing the parcel and the Conservation Commission holding the perpetual conservation restriction (CR). The CR ensures both permanent protection for the land and the public access in the village of North Falmouth where protected open space is scarce. The Sylvia Woodland acquisition provides an important balance to development pressure in the community and is a strategic acquisition that sets the stage for future potential land protection efforts.
