Highfield Hall ADA Accessible Walkway on Harmony Path

This project undertakes transforming Harmony Path on the west side of Highfield Hall to comply with ADA standards of accessibility. The walking path will be leveled and the slopes graded. In some areas along Harmony Path, the walking trail will be expanded slightly into Beebe Woods to allow for switchbacks to accommodate appropriate slope grading. Small natural bridges will be added over a dry creek bed for storm water run-off, as well as on the eastern end of the trail over a steep grade. The path will be treated with ADA-acceptable asphalt covered with natural stone chips, or chipseal. A ribbon cutting was held for the completed project in May 2021.
