Following the restoration of Nobska Light Tower, the second and third phases of the project involve the preservation and/or rehabilitation of the Keeper’s House. Components of these two phases of the total project include design and construction of interior elements such as door and window trim, staircases, flooring, new heating system, upgraded electrical system, and plumbing upgrades, as well as exterior elements such as siding, chimney, and foundation repair or replacement, and accessibility improvements to entryway, restroom, and the exterior walkway. The project will comply with The Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties, as required by CPA. The total cost of the Nobska Light Restoration is well over 3 million dollars, over $1.375 of which is CPA funding.

Phases I & II are substantially complete with the freshly milled reclaimed wood interior flooring and the new septic system being the last substantial items to finish. Full completion of this restoration project is expected in 2022.
