Shining Sea Bikeway Extension

This project proposal aims to begin the extension of the existing Shining Sea Bikeway, which stretches from Woods Hole to County Road in North Falmouth–a distance of approximately 11 miles–to connect with Bourne’s proposed 6-mile extension of the path beginning at the Falmouth/Bourne Town Line. The end result will be a contiguous bike path from Woods Hole all the way to the Cape Cod Canal, a distance of approximately 18 miles. This phase of the project is for design/permitting/MassDOT submittals of the bike path extension, not the actual construction. It is anticipated that construction will be a separate contract funded through a different 5-year MassDot program.
